Big Bible Stories for Little Hearts began with a simple desire: to help our kids know and love God’s Word in a way they could truly understand.

As moms, we were searching for Bible audio stories that felt engaging, age-appropriate, and captivating—and when we couldn’t find them, we set out to create them! What began as a simple idea quickly grew into something more as we saw how deeply our kids and their friends connected with these simple, story-driven retellings.

Today, Big Bible Stories exists to help families bring Scripture into everyday moments—through short, engaging stories and songs kids can listen to, learn from, and carry with them wherever they go!

Chrissy Peterson

Chrissy Peterson is a storyteller at heart who loves helping children know and love God’s Word. Through her work in public education, nonprofit ministries, and children’s ministry, she developed a passion for communicating the truth of Scripture in a way that is simple and engaging for little hearts.

Chrissy studied English at the University of Florida, earning a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a master’s degree in English education.

She now lives in South Florida with her husband and their three daughters, where faith and storytelling are part of everyday life.

Joy Hanna

Joy Hanna is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader who has loved music and God’s Word for as long as she can remember. She started writing songs at just eleven years old and has since released multiple albums, led worship across the country, and spent over a decade serving in church ministry.

She holds a degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University and is passionate about helping families experience the truth of Scripture in everyday life.

Joy lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband and their two boys, and knows firsthand both the joy and the challenges of discipling little hearts at home.

The Apostles' Creed

Bible Translation

These are retelling of Bible stories so you won’t hear one version word for word but we primarily use the NIV and ESV. You’ll hear Scripture references for each story right at the beginning!

Big Bible Stories was created to help parents introduce their children to the foundational stories and truths of Scripture through engaging, independent listening. Parents are often amazed by how long their children will sit quietly, listen attentively, and return to the stories again and again.

Whether enjoyed independently, during mealtimes, while coloring, or as part of a family routine, each story is designed to help children understand not only what happened in the Bible, but what it teaches us about God, ourselves, and the Gospel. Every story concludes with a short “What Does This Teach Us?” section that naturally encourages meaningful conversations between parents and children.

One of the things we hear most often from parents is that the stories encourage them, too. Many are grateful for the simple, memorable language that helps them talk with their children about the life-giving truths of God’s Word.

Big Bible Stories was created with little hearts and ears in mind—from the way each story is written to the music, narration, and production. Rather than presenting Bible stories as lessons in “how to be a better Christian,” each card points children to the bigger story of how much God loves them and who he created them to be.

Every story is woven into the overarching Gospel narrative, helping children see that the Bible is one continuous story centered on Christ. With immersive sound design, original music, and soothing yet engaging narration, Big Bible Stories delivers the kind of high-quality audio experience children love—while filling their hearts and minds with the life-giving truths of Scripture.

The Old Testament and New Testament Yoto cards are our most popular bundle because they introduce the foundational stories and themes of the Bible that are referenced throughout our collection. If your child loves music, The Fruit of the Spirit is another great place to start, featuring 10 Bible stories and 10 original songs that help children learn and remember God's truth through music.

Yes! Parents frequently tell us that their children listen to Big Bible Stories as part of their bedtime routine and often fall asleep to them each night. Whether your child is coloring, playing independently, enjoying a snack, or simply winding down, many families find that Big Bible Stories become a trusted companion during both rest time and everyday routines.

While the stories remain faithful to Scripture, they are not read directly from a single Bible translation. They are adapted primarily from the NIV and ESV to help young children understand and connect with God's Word.

Yes! Big Bible Stories Yoto cards are intentionally written and produced for independent listening. With child-friendly language, engaging sound effects, original music, and character voices, children can easily follow along and enjoy the stories on their own.

Big Bible Stories Yoto cards are designed for children ages 1–9, with simple language, engaging storytelling, and age-appropriate biblical teaching that grows with your child.

Each story is approximately 3 minutes long—perfect for little ears and short attention spans while still delivering meaningful biblical truths.

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

We offer two shipping options at checkout:

Free Shipping (No Tracking)
To keep costs as low as possible, our free shipping option is mailed through USPS without tracking. While this helps us offer free delivery, it also means we cannot provide updates once your order has been sent. Estimated delivery time is usually 5–15 business days but we have seen some lengthy delays with USPS shipping for various reasons.
Tracked Shipping ($5)
If you’d like delivery updates, you can select our tracked shipping option at checkout. This uses USPS Ground Advantage, includes tracking, and generally arrives faster.

Pre-order items ship at a later date. Estimated ship dates are listed on the product page and in your order confirmation email.

If your order includes both in-stock and pre-order items:

In-stock items will ship immediately using your selected shipping method.
Pre-order items will ship separately once in stock via free USPS First Class (untracked).

Following us on Instagram/Facebook and signing up for our newsletter are also great ways to stay updated on shipping status of pre-orders.

(June 2026 update) Yoto has informed us of a manufacturing delay affecting The Fruit of the Spirit, The Story of Easter, and The Story of Christmas. These titles are now expected to arrive in late June to early July and will ship with our Parables & Miracles bundle. Orders with four or more preordered cards will receive a complimentary shipping upgrade. We appreciate your patience and will send tracking information as soon as your order ships.

The Fruit of the Spirit, The Story of Christmas, The Story of Easter are available on Yoto’s store.

No. Our physical Yoto cards and digital MP3 downloads are sold separately. Purchasing a physical Yoto card does not include access to the digital download files.

If you'd like to listen without a Yoto Player or use the audio on other compatible devices, you'll need to purchase the MP3 download separately.

At this time, we do not offer a discount on the digital downloads for customers who have already purchased the physical Yoto cards.

The digital download includes the MP3 files. At this time we don’t provide our artwork or pixels for MYO (Make Your Own) cards.

If your order appears to be lost in transit, please contact us within 60 days of your order date so we can make it right.

We’re happy to offer a replacement or reshipment for orders reported missing within this 60-day window. After 60 days, we’re unfortunately unable to guarantee reshipments.
